This month’s employee spotlight will shine on one of the most dedicated and dependable staff members at Guardian Pharmacy of Maine. Donna Shaw, CPhT, has an associate degree in Business Management from Thomas College and started with the company in 1999 when Camden Drug merged with Waltz Pharmacy. The pharmacy then transitioned to Waltz Long Term Care Pharmacy and is known today as Guardian Pharmacy of Maine.
Donna has done it all! She started with the company as a delivery driver and moved on to work in the inventory, fulfillment, compounding, data entry and billing departments. She has been working with the billing department for 12 years and is currently the senior billing specialist.
We are excited to share that starting in October, Donna will begin her new role as Account Management Billing Specialist. In this new position, she will be available to meet with communities and family members to help them better understand the complexities of insurance and medication coverage. Donna is an excellent resource of knowledge for our pharmacy and will be a great account manager for all your insurance and billing questions.
